Each year the university launches the Adaptation Week for foreign students in order to familiarize them with rules and specifics of studying in Poland. The Adaptation Week focusses on practical aspects of studying on the University of Silesia and transferring knowledge that would be useful for every student.
This year the event will be opened on 26th September 2018 at 10AM in the auditory hall of the Rectorate of the University of Silesia in Katowice and will be attended by Agata Wójcik, Head of the Foreign Relations Department, and the head of the Office for Recruitment of International Students at the University of Silesia.
During the Adaptation Week, students will have the opportunity to dive into the specifics of studying at the University of Silesia and will learn about the activities of the Student Government, Student Service Center and other university units. The students will also meet the representatives of Polish National Health Fund and the Police.
The adaptation week will last until September 28 and will be attended by about 160 students from countries such as: Ukraine, Russia, Belarus, China, Georgia, Uzbekistan. The event is organized by the Office for Recruitment of International Students of the University of Silesia for the seventh time.
