Visit of the Liaoning Province (P.R. China) representatives to the University of Silesia

On Thursday 11th the University of Silesia will host the delegarion of Liaoning Province of People’s Republic of China. The Province will be represented by Zhao Guohong – Vice-Governor of Liaoning Province, Chang Hai – Director of the Committee for Foreign Affairs, Liaoning People’s Congress, Wang Xiaojiang – Executive Vice-Director of Liaoning Tourist Bureau, Ms. Song Qi – Director of the Foreign Affairs Office of Liaoning, Yuan Mude – Vice-Director of the Trade Department of Liaoning, and Yu Han – Chief Specialist of the Committee for Education, Science and Culture, Liaoning People’s Congress. Additionally, the Marshal Office of the Silesian Voivodship will be represented by Beata Ładoń-Nowosińska (Department of Economy, Tourism and Sport).

The meeting will be opened by  University’s Vice-Rector for Domestic and International Cooperation, Prof. Tomasz Pietrzykowski, and will focus on broadening the cooperation of the University of Silesia, as well as on the current cooperation between the entities. The discussed topics will concern among others School of Chinese Law and Culture, teaching of Chinese language culture (on the programmes offered by the Faculty of Philology) and cooperation in the frame of international projects and agreements, such as cooperation with Northeastern University, Shenyang, which runs the Centre for Polish Studies, Confucian Classes and Sino-Polish University Consortium.

Apart from the Vice-Rector Tomasz Pietrzykowski, the University of Silesia will be represented by Prof. Jolanta Tambor – Rector's Proxy for International Students, Director of the School of Polish Language and Culture, Dr. Agnieszka Tambor of Faculty of Philology, Aneta Pająk – Administrative Director of School of Chinese Law and Culture, Małgorzata Katarzyna Bańka – Chinese language lecturer of the Faculty of Philology and Joanna Laskowska – Head of the International Students Admissions Office, Department of International Relations.
