On 17-18 October 2018 Indian ad film director, Prahlad Kakkar, has visited the Krzysztof Kieślowski Faculty of Radio and Television of the University of Silesia in Katowice.
During the meeting Prahlad Kakkar was presented three short- films produced by the students of the Film and Television Directing programme ran at the Faculty of Radio and Television. The second day of Prahlad Kakkar’s visit was highlighted by his guest lecture and meeting with students to discuss the principles and secrets of the advertisement.
The events took place in the new building of the Faculty of Radio and Television, widely considered an architectural achievement. Most recently – on 16th October 2018 – the headquarter of the Faculty was honored with Award of the Marshal of the Silesian Voivodeship [1] for the creative contribution to the revitalization of Katowice city, yet at the same time maintaining Silesian traditions in architecture.
Prahlad Kakkar is an experienced Indian ad film director who works actively in the business since 1971. Last year his own film studio – Genesis Film Productions – has finished 40 years (established in 1977).
