The University of Silesia, together with the City of Zabrze, celebrates the Chinese New Year 2017.
The Chinese New Year celebration will take place 21 January at 5 PM in Guido Mine in Zabrze and will include the performance of Peking Opera Theater of Hubei Province, which was prepared for this particular event. The performance, which comprises of four acts, will be supported with other China-related attractions, such as presentations of traditional Chinese folk costumes of different provinces, art of massage and eastern martial arts.
The first day of the Chinese New Year 2017, according to Chinese calendar, dates on 28th January, and opens the year of the Rooster.
The event is organized by Silesian branch of Polish-Chinese Society and Hubei Province Department of Culture, and co-organized by the University of Silesia and the City of Zabrze. It also received the honorary patronage of the Ministry of Culture of China, Chinese Embassy in Warsaw, and the People’s Government of Hubei Province.
