Poland Business and Education Week in Nevada

On March 14-17, 2017 the visit of the representatives of Polish administration institutions and academic environment will head to the Nevada state in the United States of America. The visit is organized as a part of the Poland Business and Education Week organized by Polish Ministry of Foreign Affairs in cooperation with Marshal's Office of Silesian Voivodeship, Regional Chamber of Commerce and Industry in Katowice, Governor’s Office and Polish-American Chamber of Commerce of Nevada.

The aim of the visit is to intensify the business and scientific cooperation with State of Nevada. Poland will be represented among others by Anna Maria Anders – Polish Secretary of State and Government’s Proxy for International Dialogue, Renata Szczęch – Under-Secretary of State in the Ministry of Foreign Affairs and other diplomatic corps members.

As Silesia is the partner region of the State of Nevada, the delegates of the government of Silesia, as well as the representatives of Silesian institutions, will also be present.

The delegates of the following universities will be present: University of Silesia in Katowice, Silesian University of Technology, Wrocław University of Science and Technology, University of Dąbrowa Górnicza and SGH Warsaw School of Economics.

The University of Silesia will be represented by the Rector Prof. Andrzej Kowalczyk and Vice-Rector for Domestic and International Cooperation Prof. Tomasz Pietrzykowski.

The program of visit of the Polish delegation in Nevada includes meetings with representatives of the state administration as well as with the representatives of business community and institutions. During the meetings with representatives of American educational institutions also the academic cooperation will be discussed. Among the American higher education institutions, there will be present: University of Nevada, Truckee Meadows Community College, Sierra Nevada College, Western Nevada College. The program also includes visits to cities such as Las Vegas, Reno and Carson City.
