The Orientation Day for exchange students will take place on Monday, February 13th at 11 am, in Aula im. Kazimierza Lepszego in the Rectorate of the University of Silesia (Bankowa 12, Katowice).

Opened by Vice-Rector for Domestic and International Cooperation, Tomasz Pietrzykowski, the Orientation Day will mark the beginning of the Intensive Adaptation Week for exchange students that will conduct studies on the University of Silesia.

During the inauguration the students will get familiar with the specifics of the University of Silesia, its faculties and other units of the university, such as the School of Polish Language and Culture, Erasmus Student Network, Student Support Centre and Department of International Relations (together with its Erasmus+ Office).

During the summer semester 2016/2017 the University of Silesia will host 102 exchange students from all over the world: Algeria, Austria, Belarus, Brazil, China, Czech Republic, France, Georgia, Germany, Hungary, Iraq, Italy, Japan, Latvia, Malesia, Mexico, Philippines, Portugal, Russia, Serbia, Slovakia, Spain, Turkey and Ukraine.
