What is the amount of the special disabled students’ allowances?
Scholarships specifically designated for students with disabilities depend on the type of disability and are settled by the Dean in the beginning of each term.

Can I get a special disabled sudents’ allowances when taking up different courses?
Yes, it’s possibile to get a special scholarship while studying two or more different courses simultaneously.

Do the special disabled students’ allowances depend on the average family income?
No, they don’t depend on the average income.

Where can I hand in my application for the special scholarship?
It shall be handel in a dean’s office in your home faculty.

Is there any accommodation adapted for the needs of disabled students?
The university offers student halls for students using wheelchairs in Sosnowiec and Katowice.

Is there a possibility of getting a disabled person assistant?
There is such a possibility. The applications for a care worker shall be handed in Disabled Person Office. Such sernice is completely free.

Is there a possibility of getting a sign language interpretor?
There is such a possibility. The applications for a interpretor shall be handed in Disabled Person Office. Such service is completely free.

Is there a possiblity of free rental of academic equipment helping a disabled student?
Yes, there is an academic equipment, such as notebooks, mobile scanners, dictaphones, and various computer programmes. The applications for the equipment shall be handed in dean’s office.

Is there a possibility of individual studying at home?
At the university you may study according to the Individual Organization of Studies (IOS), which allows to adjust the terms and dates of assessing the subjects to the disabled student. The applications for the IOS shall be handed in dean’s office.

Can a disabled person take a sick leave at the university?
A disabled student can ask his/her faculty Dean for a sick leave.

Does a disabled student get a special scholarship during a sick leave?
A student who was allowed a sick leave still gets special scholarship.

Does the university organize rehabilitation for its disabled students?
Yes, every academic year disabled students can use the university gym and swimming pool where there are organized special classes in cooperation with the rehabilitation centre. These classes are free of charge.

I’m interested in sport and I’m a disabled person, does the University organize any additional sport events?
Disabled students who are interested in sport can participate in additional sport classes and join the sport and recreational club for disabled students.

Is the faculty I am going to start my studies on prepared for disabled students?
Depending on a faculty chosen, a prospective student shall check his faculty website for the information about possible architect barriers.

Is a psychology service provided?
