The University of Silesia in Katowice recently signed the cooperation agreement with National Dong Hua University (NDHU) in Hualien, Taiwan. In the frame of the agreement students and academic staff of both universities will have the chance to participate in joint exchange and research programs.
The cooperation assumes fostering the exchange of students and faculty, as well as the development of common research and educational projects. The collaboration between the University of Silesia in Katowice and National Dong Hua University in Hualien has been initiated by prof. Teobald Kupka from Opole University and dr Joachim Włodarz from the University of Silesia during their last year's visit to NDHU.
NDHU is regarded as one of the top universities in Taiwan and is a member of the consortium of seven leading Taiwanese universities cooperating closely with the European Union (EUTW).
NDHU is known for providing excellent study and working conditions, and its campus is widely considered as unique in terms of architecture and geographic location.
